Job Description Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharmacy in Dorchester MA Saturdays 1 PM - 9 PM (With option for more shifts) Starting Pay is $22.85 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. As a Security Officer in Dorchester, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.85 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and employee access in accordance with site-specific requirements. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
