We serve a diverse institutional client base on a nationwide platform, and we are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Office Administrator / Project Accountant to join our team in Joliet, IL. About the Role This is a role focused mainly on office administration. You will keep the office running smoothly and organized day to day, and handle a small amount of project accounting in QuickBooks as needed. The right person is comfortable in a busy construction office, works well with others, and takes pride in keeping paperwork, numbers, and schedules accurate. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day office operations: mail, visitors, office supplies, and vendor relationships. Maintain organized project and company files, both paper and electronic. Some spot work with the Project Accounting team when necessary. Support the project team and serve as a point of contact between the office, field teams, owners, trade partners, and vendors. Qualifications 3+ years of office administration experience. Experience working in a construction setting (general contractor, subcontractor, or related trade) strongly preferred. Project accounting experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Procore or a construction ERP is a plus. Ability to build good working relationships with owners, public officials, trade partners, and other members of the project team. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple activities and deadlines at the same time.
