Compensation and Benefits Hourly Rate: $17.75. This seasonal employment is expected to conclude on October16,2026. Benefits include: Free daily meal and salad bar. Job Responsibilities As a Busser at The Shores Restaurant, you will provide friendly and professional service to members and guests, supporting the dining team and ensuring a positive guest experience. Collect reusable items or waste materials such as table service, paper, and left‑over food, and dispose of them in proper containers. Separate and dispose of waste in proper containers; move reusable materials to kitchen or storage. Inspect materials and sort items into piles at the dish‑cleaning area or linen collection area, placing them in containers according to type, size, condition, color, marking, or other characteristics. Set tables as required. Provide drinking water and refurbish beverages upon guest or server requests. Anticipate guest needs and provide genuinely friendly, attentive, professional service. Maintain all service and restaurant areas as required. Complete assigned “side work” duties (preparation/set‑up and closing prerequisites). Provide room service—prompt thorough service to hotel guests and pick up trays. Assist servers in attending to guests’ needs and expectations. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Must obtain and maintain a current San Diego County Food Handlers card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Fluent communication with customers in English. Mathematical skills: ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, including using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Education and/or experience: less than high school education; or up to one‑month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Schedule Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Shifts will generally be rotated as fair to all employees. Business needs may determine the number and scheduling of hours worked.
