Experienced Cook (Full-Time)

Riverview Healthcare Center – Flandreau, SD

Riverview Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Cook with strong leadership qualities to join our dietary team. In our small, close-knit community, meals are an important part of the day—they bring comfort, routine, and something to look forward to. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can help keep the kitchen running smoothly, and is willing to step up and support the team.

• Prepare meals according to pre-planned menus

• Help guide daily kitchen workflow and keep service running on time

• Ensure food meets high standards for quality, taste, and presentation

• Follow proper food safety, storage, and sanitation practices

• Assist with inventory and supply checks

• Support teammates and maintain a clean, organized kitchen

• Experience in institutional or large-scale cooking

• Someone who shows initiative and can take the lead when needed

• Dependable, team-oriented, and takes pride in a job well done

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety

• Food Handler’s Card

• Institutional cooking experience required

• Skilled nursing or healthcare experience preferred
