Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift

Maintenance Supervisor As Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department, responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. You will identify opportunities, make recommendations to streamline daily work processes, and implement new procedures to support change. Responsibilities Supervise maintenance team, including mechanics, planner, and lubrication technician. Oversee repairs, maintenance, and installations of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations. Eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life of equipment. Manage the maintenance budget; assist with planning estimates for annual and longer‑term capital budgets. Supervise inspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. Maintain and prioritize planned maintenance schedule in conjunction with other departments. Establish criteria for assessing the quality and safety of work performed by team members and contractors. Supervise the completion of work through review of reliability reports, site inspections, and conferences with operations and vendors. Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and recommend improvements to ensure that needs are met. Evaluate maintenance department personnel skills to help develop training programs. Manage the work order backlog. Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED with 6–10 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance processes, activities, and maintenance management system. Demonstrated knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance technologies. Understanding of the operating context of site assets/process systems. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally. Knowledge of maintenance safety practices. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers. Experience with electrical troubleshooting. Experience with computer maintenance management systems. Experience with capital expenditures and projects. Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP (good to have). Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required. Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24‑hour, 7‑day continuous process. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, and occasionally a respirator. Ability to work in heat/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor environments, dusty and noisy conditions, and with frequent vibration or other motion of equipment/processes. Ability to work at a computer and perform administrative/managerial tasks. Ability to work at elevated places, including stairs and ladders. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and opposing shifts, when needed. Location Commerce City, CO 80022 Employment Type Full time Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation: $74,600 – $100,000, with additional earning potential based on experience. Incentive eligible with a target of 5% annual bonus (OIP).
