Role: Special Effects Artist – AI Trainer Type: Hourly Contract (Remote) Compensation: $24–$75/hour (depending on role & experience) Location: Fully Remote, asynchronous, flexible schedule Duration: 10–20 hrs/week (can extend up to 40 hrs/week); 1–2 months (extendable) Role Overview: Join AI innovation projects where your experience in animation, visual effects, and 3D modeling will help improve how large language models (LLMs) understand and simulate creative workflows. Your expertise will guide prompt creation, response evaluation, and 3D content annotation to shape the future of AI-powered design. What You’ll Do: Write, review, and refine prompts and questions for AI systems based on visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, and cinematic storytelling Evaluate and compare AI responses for realism, quality, and accuracy Analyze and annotate 3D assets using your technical knowledge and artistic eye Collaborate with AI researchers to simulate real-world production pipelines 3+ years of experience in 3D content creation, VFX, animation, or motion graphics A bachelor’s degree in animation, VFX, digital media, game art, or a related field Proficiency with tools like Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar is an advantage Experience with AAA game studios or top animation/VFX production houses (preferred) Familiarity with industry workflow for games, film, AR/VR is encouraged Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Art/Creative and Design Industries Artists and Writers Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Crossing Hurdles by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Animator” roles.
