This contract assignment focuses on supporting a high school student requiring specialized augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support, particularly with eye gaze technology (Accent device). Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Texas state licensure (Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Experience providing AAC/AT support in educational or clinical settings
• Proficiency with eye gaze technology, specifically Accent devices: programming, calibration, and maintenance
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with students and multidisciplinary teams
• Professional references as part of credentialing

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech therapy services focused on augmentative and alternative communication for one high school student, 2 hours/week on-site
• Provide in-person assistive technology support: program, calibrate, and maintain eye gaze devices
• Consult and collaborate with the student’s educators and support staff
• Coordinate indirect AT support as needed to ensure consistent device use across school environments
• Document services and progress as required by the education team
