Job Summary: Provide essential support to therapists assisting both in-patients and out-patients requiring Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services. Responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning equipment and treatment areas, ensuring prompt and courteous communication with patients and staff, and supporting the overall efficiency of therapy treatments.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Apply practical clinical skills and common sense to care for patients considering their age and diagnosis.
• Uphold the mission, values, and strategic goals of the therapy department.
• Assist therapists during treatments under supervision, including hot packs, cryotherapy, exercise supervision, vital sign monitoring, ambulation, transfer training, dressing changes, equipment setup (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, vasopneumatic compression), and patient preparation.
• Support front office tasks such as patient chart preparation, charge entry, order monitoring, filing, paperwork follow-up, copying/faxing, supply ordering, and other administrative duties.
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations and telephone etiquette, greeting visitors and patients warmly and directing them appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, equipment, and supplies, including inventory monitoring.
• Transport patients to and from therapy departments as needed.
• Observe patients during treatment, reporting any distress or equipment malfunctions to therapists.
• Participate in orientation, monthly meetings, and ongoing training.
• Commit to personal clinical development and foster teamwork within and across departments.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No prior experience required, though experience in similar roles or strong communication skills are advantageous. Basic computer skills preferred, especially familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, Meditech, or data entry.

Licensure/Certifications: CPR certification preferred; if not held at hire, must obtain within six months.

Work Shift: 1st Shift Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 Location: Serving the Midwest region of the United States.
