Position Overview Wellness Clinician – Not Licensed Full‑time, 40 hours per week, located at 11‑622 Eagle Rock Ave, West Orange, NJ. Salary: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 annually. Department: PACT 11 / PACT 12 / PACT 13. Sign‑on bonus: $5,000. Work hours: Sunday‑Thursday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, Tuesday‑Saturday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm. Essential Job Functions Clinical supervision and direction with the team leader and licensed staff, including peer clinical supervision and monthly individual supervision. Monthly supervision for direct reports and receiving supervision from own supervisor. Co‑facilitation of clinical meetings. Ensure evidence‑based, stage‑based interventions that achieve recovery goal attainment. Staff development activities, orientation of new staff, in‑service training, individual supervision, and staff performance appraisal. Development of clinical assessment, comprehensive assessment, and a Recovery Plan with documentation completed on time and with quality, adhering to DMHAS/Medicaid standards. Mental health education, community living skill training, and supportive counseling in natural environments, including substance abuse education. Assessment of service recipients' concerns, mental illness symptoms, behaviors in response to medication, and monitoring for medication side‑effects. Medication education to individuals and families with service recipient consent. Coordination of services with community mental health and other medical professionals. Ensure team develops WRAP and Psychiatric Advance Directives, utilizes motivational interviewing, IDDT, CBT, IMR, Trauma Informed Care, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Career Development. Crisis intervention services for persons with acute psychiatric needs requiring rapid intervention. 24‑hour rotating on‑call coverage with immediate response by phone or in person. Rapid and flexible crisis response, including accompaniment to screening centers or psychiatric emergency services. Assessment and teaching of daily living skills: budgeting, cooking, laundry, cleaning, shopping, personal hygiene, transportation, self‑advocacy, housing maintenance. Support employment and education/training acquisition. Outreach to newly enrolled individuals and encouraging acceptance of services. Implementation of staff development activities. Support to service recipients' families and social networks, reducing stress and promoting wellness. Requirements Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field. Minimum 2 years post‑Bachelor’s experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Driver’s License & Vehicle Valid driver’s license required.
