We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support utility billing operations in Arizona. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can provide clear, helpful assistance to customers while handling billing-related inquiries with accuracy and efficiency. The person in this role will help address a growing volume of account questions, explain charges and statements, and contribute to a smooth customer billing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding utility billing statements and account activity in a timely and courteous manner.
• Walk customers through charges, balances, and statement details so they clearly understand their bills.
• Assist individuals with available payment options, billing procedures, and related account questions.
• Provide day-to-day support for utility billing issues and help resolve routine concerns accurately.
• Help manage increased service demand by supporting front-line billing operations and customer communication.
• Work within the billing platform to review account information, update records, and process billing-related tasks.
• Support billing activities tied to utility accounts as well as other integrated bill types, including leases and housing loans.
• Partner with the existing billing team member to maintain service levels and reduce delays in responding to customers.

Requirements – At least 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related administrative support role.

Working knowledge of billing functions, billing statements, and collection-related processes.

Experience using computerized billing systems to review accounts and complete transactions accurately.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain billing information in a clear and detail-focused manner.

Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling account data, charges, and payment information.

Comfortable managing multiple inquiries and priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry tasks.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
