Automotive Accounting Clerk

JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Inventory Control ClerkDEPARTMENT: AccountingREPORTS TO: Business Office ManagerBACK UP: Business Office ManagerSTATUS: Non-exemptPRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete daily inventory to update sold notices, rollbacks and switches.Compile daily exception report to make sure inventory is at a 100% accounted for.Maintain all inventory jackets including MSOs and titles, including weekly inventory of MSOs and titles. Research and request items that are not accounted for from other locations.Review invoice/MSRP/ACV reports as received making sure any missing items are scanned into the appropriate folders, that same day.Issue floorplan checks from the 3-Day Temporary Registration Report.Prepare posting daily fundings and assist with processing wholesale deals (if assigned).Assist DMV clerk with issuing refund checks to customers for excess license fees (if assigned).Provide filing and receptionist duties as needed.Scan invoices/MSRP to the appropriate person(s) for purchasing.View the inventory on RV Point daily to resolve all discrepancies or misspellings on sales code, color, fuel code (if motor home), footage (on used), body size and order numbers.Using the Transportation Log update daily transportation moves to and from each location.Transfer jackets & DMV packets to appropriate locations as units are moved.Print stock sheets every Friday or as requested by Sales Manager for sales personnel.Packages inventory and other files as needed for relocation.Collaborate with management to identify and communicate discrepancies.Communicate effectively with other departments via phone and email.Provide coverage and/or assistance for other accounting staff when needed.Assist with month-end closing procedures.Purchase New Units into current accounting software systems (Tucson office only).Provide back-up for audit upon request.Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Requires ability to safely operate equipment.Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.Requires prolong sitting for up to 8 hours with shared working space.Requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours or on weekends to meet deadlines on occasion.Requires ability to hear and speak.Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.Requires ability to occasionally push and pull items in excess of 55lbs with or without assistance.Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: X None Minimal Moderate HighQUALIFICATIONS:Skills & Abilities:Utilizes problem solving skills for business related issues and works proactively to find solutions.Follows a systematic method of performing tasks while staying organized.Pays attention to the minute details of the task you are performing.Accepts accountability and responsibility for his/ her actions.Communicates effectively in writing and speaking.Acts truthfully and with integrity in the workplace.Ability to adapt to new processes and make adjustments as needed.Understands deadlines and applies the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks.Dependable and trustworthy.Acts calmly and with patience if/when under stress and strain, and not being hasty or impetuous.Exhibits a pleasant and friendly demeanor toward others.Experience:High School diploma or equivalent certificate.Knowledge of automotive accounting; understanding of debits and credits.Basic computer and math skills.General knowledge of Excel, internet applications and ERP systems.If you are looking for a role within a GROWING industry and a company that offers a family focused, FUN corporate culture, competitive pay, healthcare coverage, 401K, PTO, and so much more then APPLY TODAY to learn more!!Come join our FAMILY - where our core values are: Fun, Attitude, Make their day, Integrity, Listen and qualitYPlease take a look at our website: Mesa RV and affiliated companies are an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to provide an inclusive work environment through the diverse talents of our team.
