Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

The CVOR Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of cardiac surgery patients before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans for cardiac surgery cases.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is ready.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
• Administer medications and anesthesia under physician supervision.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, procedures, and clinical observations.
• Educate patients and their families on perioperative procedures and post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Georgia or a Compact state required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative protocols.
• Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and emergency response skills.
• Able to work 4x10 hour day shifts, with flexibility for on-call and holiday coverage.
• Compliance with travel and licensing requirements, including complete onboarding within 48 hours.
