Position Summary The Project Coordinator will assist the Federal Audit Resource Management Team in providing comprehensive administrative and project management support across the federal audit practice and, as needed, at the project level. This role serves as a key coordination point among project managers/leadership, employees, Sikich leadership, government stakeholders, and prime contractors. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional professionalism and accuracy. What will you do in this role? Coordinate onboarding for new team members and monitor required training and certifications, ensuring timely completion of administrative, system-access, and compliance requirements. Analyze staff availability, planned leave, and project assignments using scheduling and resource management tools; independently recommend resource adjustments to address competing priorities and engagement needs. Analyze employee timesheets and project-charging activity, identify compliance risks or recurring issues, and determine appropriate follow-up or corrective action. Assess project budgets, labor utilization, expenditures, and resource constraints; identify variances, trends, financial concerns, and operational impacts; and recommend corrective actions, reallocations, or escalation strategies to project leadership. Develop financial forecasts, resource plans, and management reports; interpret results and provide recommendations that support project and operational decision-making. Coordinate project travel, including authorizations, logistics, schedules, documentation, and reimbursement packages; resolve travel-related issues and ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing. Professionally communicate with Sikich leadership and client stakeholders by preparing written correspondence, meeting materials, status updates, and other project communications. Manage multiple calendars across separate systems and environments, and schedule, coordinate, facilitate, and document meetings to support efficient scheduling and coordination. Maintain inventories and monitor assignments and licensing requirements for government-furnished and company-issued equipment, software licenses, and related assets to support operational readiness and compliance. Independently assess competing priorities, adjust workflows, and resolve administrative, operational, and project-related issues; determine when escalation is warranted and recommend solutions that balance changing project needs, deadlines, engagement priorities, compliance requirements, and stakeholder needs. Execute special assignments and strategic initiatives with minimal supervision. Demonstrate sound judgment, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic audit environment. Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts that enhance project efficiency, communication, and overall engagement performance. What do you need to succeed in this role?
