In addition to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response.Position Purpose of Warehouse Shipping Associate:The Warehouse Associate will predominantly work wherever needed throughout the Distribution Center. Including tasks such as load and unload shipments, put away finished Production inventory, fulfill orders from dry warehouse area, execute smooth receipt when receiving product, inventory, replenish product in pick bins, and order fulfillment with accuracy in all activity. The Warehouse Associate will work with other staff members and customers to include Freezer needs, Cooler needs and Janitorial needs daily. All responsibilities and duties will further Gleaners' mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger.Medical, Dental & Other Supplemental Insurance14 paid holidays 3 Paid Sick Leave Day, Federal Holidays, 2 Volunteer Days & BirthdayLearning & Development OpportunitiesCompany paid vision, long-term disability, $50,000 life AD&DPaid Life and Long-Term Disability InsuranceMaternal, parental & caregiver leaveOn-site GymWellness programs403(b) Plan with up to 4% matchMonthly attendance bonusEarn up to 10% incentive payApparel allowanceEssential Functions of Warehouse Receiving Associate:The primary function is to pick orders using a riding pallet jack and a scan gun, loading outbound semis and box trucks, and using a forklift to bring product down in the racking for the next days orders.Perform various warehouse functions including: replenishment, order-fulfillment (by both case and pallet quantities), prepare product for distribution (including wrapping pallets and labeling orders), and ship product to the endpoint destination.Take direction as indicated by multiple sources: document, scanner or other instruction.Keep your workstation clean.Change tasks and assignments as the needs of our Distribution Center require.Work safely and accurately with minimal supervision.Operate PIT equipment according to Gleaners and OSHA guidelines. Ensure compliance and adherence to all food safety guidelines according to GFB, Feeding America, AIB, USDA, ISDH and any other applicable processes or regulations for safe and sanitary production and storage of all products.
