Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing care in a high acuity, fast-paced Level 4 NICU specializing in neonatal patients, including premature infants and those with complex medical conditions. The position requires a focus on neonatal care for patients ranging from newborns to one-year-olds, with occasional cases involving patients over one year old.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, valid nursing license, ability to work in a high acuity/neonatal setting, familiarity with Level 4 NICU protocols, and capable of managing patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 depending on patient status
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing neonatal patients with congenital birth defects, cardiac conditions, or undergoing surgical procedures
• Additional Information: This position involves caring for neonatal and infant patients in a high acuity environment, including those with HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Heart disease/defects, Surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Arrhythmias, Congenital Birth Defects, and Renal Failure
