In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight for a comprehensive system of care encompassing mental health, substance use, and integrated treatment services. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Provide expert supervision to medical staff and contracted providers, advancing evidence-based standards across all agency programs.
- Direct Care: Deliver high-quality psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and MOUD (Medications for Opioid Use Disorder) services, maintaining a productivity standard of approximately 27 billable units/week.
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement medical policies, protocols, and clinical programming to ensure excellence in patient outcomes and CCBHC compliance.
- Consultation & Collaboration: Act as the primary psychiatric consultant for interdisciplinary teams and cultivate strong partnerships with regional healthcare stakeholders.
- Quality & Risk Management: Lead peer reviews, utilization reviews, and quality assurance initiatives to maintain the highest levels of care and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Education & Boarding: M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited psychiatry residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Licensure: Licensed (or eligible) to practice medicine in the State of Vermont without restriction.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in psychiatry, including at least 1 year in a community mental health setting.
- Specialization: Proven experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is required.
- Technical Savvy: Proficient with EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
- Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain affiliate medical staff membership at the local regional medical center.
