FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring immediately for full‑time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions at Mount Pleasant Independent School District, 2011 North Edwards Avenue, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455. Other locations within the district are available. This is a full‑time position, Sunday through Wednesday; hours may vary and will be discussed further. Full and part‑time hours may also be available to fit scheduling needs. Pay range is $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. Previous floor care experience is required. Candidates must pass a background check. We will consider all qualified applicants. Employment is subject to a background check. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Use automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface. Perform proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role is preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques. Ability to follow safety procedures.
