ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Construction Project Manager/District Inspector position reports to the Director of Engineering/District Engineer as a member of the District's Engineering Department team. The District's Construction Project Manager/District Inspector inspects the construction of District's water and sewer systems to ensure that contractors meet the District's requirements, engineering drawings, and contract specifications, and that quality of materials and standards of workmanship conform to District standards. Provides coordination between different District departments for various programs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, or certificate in Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) desired. Ten years of experience that may include a combination of water and/or sewer related construction and/or inspection experience. Four years of experience performing construction inspector work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Duties are a mix of office work with substantial amount of work performed in the field where the employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, loud noises, and hazards from automobile traffic, heavy equipment, and construction sites. Occasional nighttime inspection as assigned.
