Communications Assistant

Loeb & Loeb, an AmLaw 200 leading law firm, is seeking a Communications Assistant to support firm-wide communications, social media, and content. This person will work directly with Loeb's Communications Manager on a variety of internal and external communications efforts, with a focus on social media and creating compelling and creative content for the firm's website. This is a highly visible role that offers direct exposure to attorneys at all levels, and is on a supportive and collaborative marketing team. This position is located in our Los Angeles office. Loeb & Loeb currently has a flexible work schedule, and members of the marketing team are asked to be in the office three days per week. Duties/Responsibilities: Supporting day-to-day management of the firm's social media activities (across LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter/X, as well as the Alumni LinkedIn page), monitoring firm social channels, maintaining social media content calendars, conducting audits as needed, tracking performance, and coordinating with other internal teams (e.g., graphics, events) to produce posts and social media assets; Collaborating with other Marketing team members in the creation of web content, including practice/service descriptions, website announcements, alumni content, and other content as needed, following SEO best practices; Drafting and producing firm content (e.g., Attorney Q&As, Highlights documents) that helps to build profiles for practice areas, geographic markets and individual lawyers, and supports firm thought leadership initiatives; Supporting the writing, editing, proofreading, and distribution of internal newsletters, including gathering content and coordinating review and approval with key stakeholders; Updating and maintaining website content through firm's content management system, including monitoring pages for outdated or inconsistent content; Providing onsite support for Los Angeles Office based events on an as needed basis, including taking photos for social media; Supporting other ad hoc marketing department projects. Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communications skills and exceptional attention to detail coupled with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise language. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively with firm attorneys and colleagues at all levels. Education and Experience: Must have a Bachelor's degree, ideally in communications or marketing-related field. At least 2 years of prior communications experience. Experience within a professional or financial services firm preferred, but candidates from all industries with the right skill-set and a willingness to learn a new sector will be considered. Experience executing social media campaigns and writing ad copy. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May be required to lift 15 pounds at times.
