Job Details

Our healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Echocardiogram Technician to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and a solid understanding of Cardiac Doppler. This is a permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of top-tier healthcare professionals in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

1. Performing diagnostic tests using Cardiac Doppler to assess the patient's heart condition.
2. Understanding and applying knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology to interpret test results accurately.
3. Conducting patient assessments, explaining procedures, and providing comfort and reassurance to patients.
4. Ensuring accurate exam documentation and reporting workflows.
5. Operating echocardiogram equipment efficiently and performing basic troubleshooting when necessary.
6. Maintaining supply and inventory awareness to ensure all necessary materials are available for procedures.
7. Collaborating with cardiology providers to discuss test results and develop treatment plans.
8. Providing age-specific patient care, understanding the different needs of patients of various age groups.
9. Facilitating stress testing workflows, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery phases.
10. Optimizing ultrasound images to provide the clearest and most accurate results.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echocardiogram Technician or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in Cardiac Doppler, cardiac anatomy and physiology, patient assessment and communication, exam documentation and reporting workflows.
3. Experience in operating and troubleshooting echocardiogram equipment.
4. Excellent knowledge of supply and inventory management.
5. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cardiology providers.
6. Experience in providing age-specific patient care.
7. Familiarity with stress testing workflows.
8. Skills in ultrasound image optimization.
9. A Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field is preferred.
10. Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent is required.
