Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Telemetry – Georgia

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period. Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 36-bed telemetry unit with an average daily census of 35 patients. No call required. RNs will perform their own vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring.

• Cardiac telemetry unit specializing in CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization, device implants, and vascular conditions
• Epic EMR required; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR documentation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Contract length varies; orientation hours provided based on assignment duration
• Opportunity to work with diverse cardiac patient populations including post-MI, cardiac catheterization, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; Spring Break blackout dates apply (April 4-12)

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
• Demonstrated competency managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, central line care, chest tube management, and post-cardiac procedure care
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation required by Tuesday prior to start date
