Senior Imaging Technician Hourly (Hybrid Work Schedule)

The Senior Imaging Specialist is responsible for end-to-end processing of inbound documents, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant uploading of documents into the enterprise content management (ECM) system. This role supports high-volume document workflows by performing document preparation, scanning, indexing, quality control, verification, and export activities while adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs). The position requires strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve document exceptions within a fast-paced operational environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and process inbound documents from multiple sources (including physical mail, internal departments, and faxed submissions) ensuring proper routing and handling
• Prepare documents for scanning by sorting (barcoded vs. non-barcoded), grouping logically, and applying required cover and separator sheets
• Create and manage batches in Kofax by selecting appropriate batch classes, naming conventions, and routing unclear items to specialized staff
• Operate and monitor scanning equipment, ensuring proper setup, correct orientation, and resolution of issues such as jams, skewed pages, and misfeeds
• Perform quality control checks to verify scan clarity, completeness, document counts, and accurate barcode recognition
• Validate and index documents by entering and verifying key data elements and using system tools (i.e. VNAV) to research missing or unclear information
• Conduct verification to confirm data accuracy by re-entering identifiers, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring records align with system entries
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate exceptions, including unreadable scans, missing pages, unclear document types, fax errors, and classification issues
• Monitor documents through recognition, validation, verification, and export stages, ensuring successful processing and timely movement through workflows
• Support compliance with service level agreements (including 24-hour turnaround) and assist with prioritization of sensitive or time-critical documents
• Maintain adherence to records retention requirements, supporting the transition from physical storage to digital document management
