Role Description This is a full-time, on-site, Criminal Defense Attorney role based in Phoenix, AZ. The attorney will manage a caseload of DUI and criminal defense matters, including consulting with clients and prospective clients, reviewing evidence, conducting legal research, and developing case strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting motions and pleadings, negotiating with prosecutors, appearing in court for hearings and trials, and advising clients on legal options and potential outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with the principal attorney and staff, maintaining thorough case files, and ensuring timely communication with clients. The attorney is expected to uphold high ethical standards and provide compassionate, rigorous advocacy for individuals facing criminal charges. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Arizona, in good standing. Strong foundation in Law and Criminal Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and court rules; demonstrated experience or focused interest in Criminal Defense Law and Criminal Defense practice, including courtroom advocacy, trial, and plea negotiations Excellent Research skills for case analysis, motion practice, and trial preparation. Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, including motion drafting and courtroom presentation. Strong client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and respectfully. High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-responsibility caseload.
