Lunchroom Supervisor (SY25/26) – 2 Positions Position Type: Educational Support Personnel / Lunchroom and Playground Supervisor Date Posted: 2/26/2026 Location: Oakton Elementary School Date Available: ASAP The Lunchroom Supervisor directs and assists children in the lunchroom and on the playground. The supervisor ensures students line up in an orderly manner and names are checked off according to school procedures when entering the cafeteria. This position reports to the Principal and is a 10‑month part‑time role (August–June). Essential Functions Administer first aid assistance using appropriate judgment for immediate health care needs. Assist with lunchroom procedures such as sanitizing tables, keeping trash off the floors, recycling, and other sustainable efforts to maintain a sanitary, safe, and green environment. Participate in games and activities to encourage group/team play. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Supervise outside the playground during good weather and inside the auditorium gym or other designated area during inclement weather to secure the safety of the students. Utilize positive and assertive discipline while encouraging safe playground behavior to maintain order and control. Experience and Qualifications Job‑related experience is not required. Work experience with children is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $16.50 per hour.
