EHS & Facilities Coordinator

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented EHS & Facilities Coordinator to support day-to-day facility operations, environmental health & safety compliance, and hazardous materials management for our Seattle location. This is a fully onsite role requiring a proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of both operational and compliance-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day facility operations, maintenance requests, vendor scheduling, and building-related issues

• Support EH&S compliance activities including hazardous waste handling, chemical inventory management, SDS documentation, and safety inspections

• Classify, package, label, and document dangerous goods shipments in accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations

• Participate in spill response activities, emergency drills, and safety preparedness initiatives

• Maintain and inspect facility safety equipment including eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and safety showers

• Coordinate contractors and vendors for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, and general maintenance work

• Assist with office moves, space planning, loading dock organization, and workplace upkeep

• Maintain accurate compliance documentation, manifests, logs, and audit records

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to facility safety and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in facilities coordination, EH&S, logistics, warehouse operations, or related environments

• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, IATA, or hazardous materials regulations

preferred

• Experience supporting facility maintenance and vendor coordination activities

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work onsite and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs

• Experience in biotech, healthcare, laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated environments is highly preferred

Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain):

• DOT HazMat Certification

• HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification

• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management

• IATA / IMDG Certification
