Overview Buckner International Location: Camp Buckner Location: Burnet, TX - Onsite Address: 3835 Ranch to Market Rd 2342, Burnet, TX 78611 Job Schedule: Full-Time We are seeking a Housekeeper to make an impact on our guests' experience by providing quality services. As a Housekeeper , you will play a n important role in ensuring camp common and guest areas are clean and sanitized meeting or exceeding Buckner's quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and shine hope in the lives of others! Responsibilities Thoroughly clean cabins, lodge rooms, administration building, meeting rooms, and other areas as directed. Assist in the cleaning, set up, and take down of furniture and equipment around camp. Provide support for retreats and conferences as directed. Complete accurate and timely documentation and attend staff meetings and training as required. Identify unsafe situations or areas and immediately report matter to supervisor. Promptly respond to requests for information, provide accurate information, immediately notify supervisor of any concerns. Perform all tasks requested by the supervisor which would include by not limited to cleaning, climbing ladders, doing laundry, carrying laundry bins, moving beds, assisting other departments, setting up meeting rooms. Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures, and requirements. Work successfully as part of a team, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers. Detect, correct, or report situations that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to children, guests, or others. Qualifications Requires understanding and ability to use simple arithmetic and grammar with accuracy. Ability to learn required knowledge of housekeeping practices. Proficient ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions. Ability to speak clearly and make self-understood effectively in face-to-face interactions; articulate with accuracy when speaking on the phone. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to hear and receive verbal instructions, answer phones, communicate with people in situations with some background noise. Establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with staff, vendors, campers, families, church groups, representatives, etc. Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change. Ability to work under supervision and follow direction. Maintain confidentiality. Ability to learn to complete timekeeping and required BOLD entries. Commitment to Christian principles and teachings, per Buckner’s mission. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people. Ability to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; ability to crawl, kneel, climb, bend, reach, grasp, push, pull and carry or manipulate objects safely. Good health to properly discharge duties.
