Collections Specialist

Account ManagementManage rent and utility collections for residential accounts, following up on outstanding balances through consistent inbound and outbound communication.Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, including Section A residents, while addressing payment concerns and explaining next steps clearly and professionally.Monitor active delinquency matters from the start of the assignment, including open eviction-related cases, and maintain accurate status updates.Coordinate with case workers and property managers to resolve account issues, confirm documentation, and support timely collection activity.Perform program-related administrative tasks, including record maintenance, account review, and tracking of collection actions in internal systems such as Padfolio.Handle a people-focused workload that requires frequent phone interaction, sound judgment, and professionalism in sensitive conversations.Organize account details and reporting to support collection priorities, with administrative duties currently forming a meaningful part of the role.Use spreadsheets and system data to review account activity, identify trends, and support follow-up efforts across the portfolio.
