Senior Payroll Administrator

We have a medium sized construction company in San Jose, CA seeking a strong Certified Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Job Title: Certified Payroll Administrator

Location: Onsite 5 Days per Week

Salary: $85,000 $100,000 annually

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Administrator to manage and execute payroll processing for approximately 300 employees . The ideal candidate will have expertise in union payroll processing and proficiency with Sage 300 . This is an onsite position, 5 days a week , providing an opportunity to work closely with HR and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accurate and timely payroll for ~300 employees on a regular schedule.
• Manage union payroll processing , including adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries.
• Generate and distribute payroll reports, including year-end forms and regulatory filings.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Payroll Administrator or equivalent.
• Proven experience with union payroll processing .
• Proficiency with Sage 300 payroll software .
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, compliance, and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management.
