We are seeking a Payroll Data Entry Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is primarily focused on high-volume data entry in support of payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have strong 10-key skills , excellent accuracy, and experience handling employee data in a fast-paced environment. Experience with union payroll is a plus, as this team supports multiple union groups. This is a fully onsite position with an early start time of 6:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-volume data entry with speed and accuracy in support of payroll processing
• Enter new hire and onboarding information into the payroll system
• Maintain and update employee payroll records and other related data
• Review entered information for completeness and accuracy
• Assist with payroll-related documentation and help organize records for audits
• Support the team with certified payroll processes; training can be provided
• Work with payroll and internal teams to resolve data discrepancies as needed
• Meet daily and weekly deadlines in a high-volume environment supporting approximately 500 employees per person

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience in data entry , payroll support, or administrative support
• Strong 10-key data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work an early morning schedule
• Ability to work fully onsite ; this role is not remote

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting payroll processes
• Union payroll experience preferred
• Exposure to employee onboarding or new hire data entry
• Experience assisting with audit preparation or payroll documentation
• Familiarity with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
