Job OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to work on various adult and pediatric floors, including the Emergency Department, at a busy healthcare facility in the city, state area. The role involves providing critical care to patients ranging from infants to geriatrics, with a focus on those in respiratory distress and other acute conditions.Shift DetailsShift Type: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)Weekend Coverage: Required every other weekendRequired QualificationsCurrent BLS and PALS certificationsNRBC and California RRT credentialsMinimum of 2 years of respiratory care experienceExperience with EPIC charting systemTravel experience is mandatoryKey ResponsibilitiesProvide respiratory care for adult patients, including those in the Emergency Department and critical care settingsAdminister treatments and manage ventilators for pediatric patients as neededConduct assessments and interpret arterial blood gasesAssist with intubation and extubation proceduresUtilize various respiratory therapy techniques and equipment, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannulaEducate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and home careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic)Preferred SkillsExperience in critical care and emergency settingsKnowledge of pediatric respiratory conditions and treatmentsProficient in troubleshooting respiratory equipment and alarmsAbility to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary teamFacility OverviewThe facility has a daily census of approximately 507 patients and features a total of 523 beds.
