Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – New York

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:9 patient ratio on all shifts; every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month required; float to other medical-surgical units as needed

Highlights:

• 34-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in orthopedic and general surgical patients
• Center of Excellence for joint replacement (hip, knee, shoulder) with high-acuity telemetry patients
• Collaborative care delivery model with RN, LPN, and PCT team structure
• Epic EMR system; 12 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, PT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population from adolescents to geriatrics with varied surgical and medical diagnoses

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required prior to submittal
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical or telemetry experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience strongly required
• Experience with 1:9 patient ratios preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Proficiency in wound care, IV management, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, chest tube management, and post-operative orthopedic care
• First-time travelers accepted
