Position Overview As a Project Accounting Specialist, you’ll support core accounting operations while also playing a key role in project financial tracking. Company Highlights Competitive salary range: $65,000–$75,000, based on experience Join a stable, reputable leader in the construction industry Hands‑on exposure to project accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting Collaborative, team‑oriented culture with strong support and mentorship Clear path for career growth and long‑term advancement Key Responsibilities for the Project Accounting Specialist: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger in accordance with GAAP Prepare journal entries and support the month‑end and year‑end close Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Support job costing processes, WIP schedules, and project financial tracking Monitor project budgets, costs, billing, and performance metrics Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis Identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy across financial data Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed Partner with internal teams to support smooth and accurate financial operations Qualifications for the Project Accounting Specialist: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2–5+ years of accounting experience (construction or project‑based experience a plus) Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience with accounting/ERP systems (construction software a bonus) Strong Excel skills and overall Microsoft Office proficiency Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Apply Now Submit your resume today for immediate consideration! #J-18808-Ljbffr City Personnel
