Sales Engineer / Account Manager - Automation

Sales Engineer / Account Manager
We are a reputable controls engineering firm located in the Novi, MI area that specializes in full service industrial automation systems. We are currently looking to expand our Sales team with an immediate opening for a Sales Engineer / Account Manager. This is a full-time and long-term opportunity that offers competitive pay (base salary + commission) and an attractive benefits package.
This position will be responsible for finding and developing new sales related to our industrial automation components and assemblies. This will require performing research on customer bases, company visits, cold-calling and other related duties to develop sales lists. In addition, this position will be responsible for focusing on the sales of services related to industrial automation and will act as the main point of contact with new and existing clients.
Ideal Requirements:
- Strong sales background
- Background in controls integration, electrical components, engineering, manufacturing, or automation sales (at least 8 years' experience)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn technical details related to the product line
