Job Duties
Help
- Prepare meals to execute a full range of cooking in accordance with standardized recipes.
- Weigh and measure food items to monitor cooking time and determine quantities of ingredients for required yields.
- Prepare vegetables, starches, breads, desserts, and meats using a variety of cooking methods including grilling and deep-fat frying.
- Operate, maintain, and clean tools, equipment, dishes, and department work areas to assist with storeroom functions.
- Open and close dining room entrances to facilitate daily meal service.
- Sweep, mop, and wax floors to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Set up assigned stations on the patient tray line to prepare for regular and therapeutic diets.
- Take nourishment inventories to replace expired bulk items.
- Perform cashier-related duties to support dining facility operations.
