Water Resources Engineer

Responsibilities Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Preference for local candidates Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Local candidates preferred Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling softwareSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must Benefits We provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, employee health, performance, and success, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, a retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonus and tuition reimbursement. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions.
