Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity in Birmingham, Alabama

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist to join our established inpatient behavioral health team at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in Alabama's largest psychiatric hospital , working alongside an experienced team of psychiatrists and advanced practice providers in a collaborative, physician-led environment.

Position Highlights

Full-time, employed (W-2) position
Practice at Brookwood Hospital, one of Alabama's premier behavioral health facilities
Join the largest psychiatric hospital in Alabama
Collaborate with an experienced team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners
Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers
Comprehensive multidisciplinary support staff
Established patient volume with efficient workflows
Opportunity to help shape patient care and clinical quality initiatives
Physician-led organization focused on long-term provider success

Call Schedule

Phone call one night per week
One weekend of call per month
Shared call responsibilities with experienced providers

Requirements:

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
Strong interest in inpatient psychiatry
Comfortable supervising and collaborating with psychiatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants
Excellent communication and leadership skills
New graduates and experienced psychiatrists are encouraged to apply
