Job Summary:
An RN (Registered Nurse) position in the Adult Medical Specialty Unit located in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing patient care on a medical-surgical floor with a focus on adult acute care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule and requires a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Shift: Nights, 3-12s from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday for days shifts and Friday/Saturday for night shifts).
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the AHA (American Heart Association); minimum of 1 year of experience; Certifications including BLS; Experience with Central Lines, tracheostomies, chest tubes; EPIC electronic medical record experience; travel experience on a Medical-Surgical Floor; ability to read telemetry strips; no need to titrate drips but familiar with titratable medications such as Heparin and Lasix.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I trauma center preferred, with consideration given to EPIC experience and travel experience on a MedSurg Floor.
• Duties: Assisting with vital signs, bladder scans, accuchecks, ADLs, administering inhalers, suctioning, and using telemetry monitors; nurse aides assist with basic patient care and vital signs.
• Additional Information: Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 during peak hours and 1:5-6 overnight; no call or standby requirement; rotation of floating to other acute care general medicine areas such as nephrology, neuro, ortho, oncology; scrubs provided in any color, no visible tattoos or piercings except earrings; unit-specific orientation for 2-3 shifts.
