CNC Programmer We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, focusing on producing complex aerospace components and tooling fixtures. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, 3D models, and customer specifications to develop efficient machining strategies. Responsibilities: Create CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines to produce complex aerospace components and tooling fixtures. Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and customer specifications to develop machining strategies. Optimize machining processes through cutter selection, workholding design, and speeds/feeds recommendations. Utilize CATIA and VERICUT to develop, validate, and simulate CNC toolpaths. Design tooling and fixture solutions to support complex manufacturing operations. Create setup sheets and production documentation to support shop floor execution. Provide hands-on support during new program prove-outs, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities. Collaborate closely with machinists and manufacturing teams to improve quality, efficiency, and producibility. Support aerospace quality requirements, including FAI documentation, ITAR compliance, and adherence to ISO 9000/9001 standards. Essential Skills: Proficiency in NC programming and CATIA for CNC programming and machine simulation. Experience in programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines for complex aerospace components. Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprints, and 3D model interpretation. Skilled in high-speed machining of aluminum and hard metals; Makino experience preferred. Ability to design tooling and workholding fixtures in CATIA. Knowledge of FAI, aerospace inspection processes, ITAR, and ISO 9000/9001 requirements. Proficiency with G & M Codes and CNC machining methodologies. Comfortable providing shop-floor support, troubleshooting programs, and driving process improvements. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset. Work Environment: Work is conducted in an engineering office space from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location: This is a permanent position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401K, Health, Dental, PTO.
