Assistant, Professor, Biology (Tenure Track) Essential Job Functions Conducts a requisite number of classes; Teaches assignedsubjects Provides guidance and supervision to students Creates and maintains an environment conducive to excellence inteaching, learning and research Preparation and formulation of curricula focused on his/hersubject(s) Participates in departmental meetings and holds scheduledoffice hours Maintains equipment in the laboratory, plans for laboratorypractical sessions, and provides materials to students Provides academic support to other faculty members Serves on departmental and University committees, asassigned Other related duties, as assigned Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences or related field Two (2) years’ teaching experience at the college or universitylevel Knowledge Skills and Abilities In-depth knowledge of biological sciences Excellent communication skills, verbal, written andinterpersonal Strong time management skills Passion for teaching and engaging with students Skilled in mentoring students Ability to work well with colleagues and foster a collegialenvironment conducive to teamwork and students’ high level oflearning #J-18808-Ljbffr The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc.
