Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing assessments for residents in a long-term care environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor and adjust based on progress and outcomes.
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to residents within established plans of care; document progress in the medical record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation, social work) to coordinate care, discharge planning, and program modifications.
- Educate residents and families on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and caregiver training to support daily communication needs.
- Ensure documentation, coding, and compliance with facility policies and state regulations; participate in quality improvement activities as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active state licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and provide day-shift services.
- Willingness to complete credentialing and onboarding processes for a travel assignment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Eligibility for a 13-week travel assignment and the ability to meet guaranteed weekly hours.
