RF Designer (Entry Level)- AZ

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is a nationwide leader in the Design, Engineering & Installation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). We work on high profile, cutting edge projects nationwide. We are seeking an Entry Level RF Designer ONSITE for our Arizona Design Center Office. Hours are 2pm - 11pm, Monday thru Friday. Training will be onsite for 4-6 weeks. Hours for training may vary 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm. The RF Designer position calls for high energy, dedication, attention to detail, timeliness, teamwork, positive attitude, adaptability, self‑motivation, reliability, and the willingness/ability to learn new technical concepts. Key Opportunities Work between the design & construction phases of a project. Create client‑facing documents that are detail oriented and impact the company’s success directly. Develop efficient solutions through application‑based engineering approaches that affect the bottom line. Learn fundamentals of in‑building wireless design and validate engineering approaches with the Design Center, improving efficiency by cost or performance. Build relationships with CTS management, sales, engineering, and OEM partners. Exposed to the latest technology in the in‑building wireless industry and receive detailed information on new products before official release. Job Description Layout DAS designs in iBwave. Responsibilities Follow direction of Central Engineering Lead. Work at a PC for extended hours. Understand frequency bands, protocols, and terminology used to quantify signal strength, quality, and transmitting base stations. Understand all Repeater and DAS OEM equipment and their architectures. Learn RF Math and how it applies to the design. Set up 3D modeling in iBwave. Lay out thorough and clean DAS designs. Produce accurate BOMs from design effort. Produce fiber and rack diagrams in Visio. Run propagation models in iBwave. Export and consolidate designs, plots, and other design reports required.
