Senior Inspector

Responsibilities Inspect DOT construction work to ensure compliance with standards and project Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans and standard specifications Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance Review plans to identify potential violations Ability to maintain field and office records Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing Communicate effectively. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management preferred, could be substituted with NICET Level 3 Minimum (6) years of experience in construction trades. Minimum (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil OSHA 30 hr. Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team Experience with the Connecticut Department of Transportation is preferred Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications Strong written and oral communication skills Following certs preferred: ACI Grade 1, AWS certified welding inspector, QCIS, CESSWI, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, NETTCP HMA Paving Inspector, OHSHA 30 Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment Compensation: $75,000/yr. min to $90,000/yr. max. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate’s qualifications and location. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.
