WMS Specialist - Manhattan & EDI Lead

Salary: $130,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience supporting WMS, warehouse systems, EDI, enterprise integration, or supply-chain applications.
• Hands-on experience with AS400/IBM i applications, integrations, or warehouse systems.
• Strong ANSI X12 EDI knowledge and production troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with AS2, SFTP, FTP, EDI mapping, and trading-partner connectivity.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution-center processes.
• Ability to trace transactions across systems, identify technical root causes, and assess warehouse business impact.
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems and independently resolving high-priority incidents.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with warehouse operations, customers, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to clearly document legacy processes, interfaces, dependencies, and support procedures.
• Must live locally to Whittier, California.
• Preferred: Microsoft BizTalk experience; Manhattan WMS or Manhattan Active experience; experience in 3PL, retail, wholesale, or distribution; REST API, JSON, XML, or web-services experience; RPG familiarity; carrier/parcel, WCS/MHE, or warehouse automation integration experience; or experience modernizing legacy WMS or integration architectures.
• RPG coding experience is helpful but not required.

• Own and support our legacy AS400 WMS and related warehouse applications, troubleshooting production issues across receiving, inventory, order processing, allocation, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Diagnose stuck, failed, duplicate, or incomplete WMS transactions; understand AS400 jobs, programs, files, batch processes, interfaces, and customer-specific rules; and work with RPG/IBM i development resources as needed.
• Document legacy logic, dependencies, batch schedules, interfaces, business rules, and operating procedures, and support changes as customers, processes, and integrations evolve.
• Provide end-to-end support for inbound and outbound customer and trading-partner EDI flows, including ANSI X12 maps, transformations, acknowledgements, error handling, reconciliation, and AS2/SFTP/FTP connectivity.
• Investigate missing, duplicate, rejected, delayed, or out-of-sequence transactions, implement lasting corrective actions, and support partner onboarding through connectivity, mapping, testing, and production readiness.
• Work with warehouse operations to connect system transactions to physical processes, identify root causes, and assess the business impact of technical failures.
• Support customer-specific 3PL workflows and requirements, including retail compliance, UCC-128/SSCC labels, routing, SLAs, and inventory ownership.
• Support Microsoft BizTalk or similar integration tools, trace transactions across trading partners, connectivity, mapping, the integration layer, the WMS, and warehouse operations, and coordinate interface changes.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation controls while reducing recurring production failures and unnecessary manual intervention.
• Support our AS400-to-Manhattan WMS transition by documenting processes and integrations to be replaced, retained, modified, or retired; identifying dependencies; and sharing current-state knowledge with the implementation team.
• Participate in solution-design reviews, data mapping, SIT/UAT, mock and production cutovers, and hypercare; support phased coexistence and customer migrations; develop routing reconciliation controls; and assist with legacy decommissioning.
