Are you a people person who enjoys helping others and wants to build your skills in eye care? We’re looking for an Optician 1 to join a patient-focused practice in Rockville, MD . This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working directly with patients. Optical or healthcare experience is a plus, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most. What You’ll Do As an Optician 1, you’ll help make sure patients have a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your responsibilities will include: Welcoming and assisting patients Answering phones and helping patients with questions Scheduling appointments Checking patients in and out Assisting patients with their optical needs Providing friendly, professional customer service Helping patients understand their visit and next steps Handling front desk and administrative responsibilities Maintaining accurate patient information Working with the practice team to keep the office running smoothly What We’re Looking For We're looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with people. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent customer service and communication skills A positive and personable attitude Strong attention to detail Good organizational and time-management skills The ability to multitask in a busy environment Basic computer skills Professional presentation 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred Optical or healthcare experience is a plus A willingness to learn — we’ll train the right candidate!
