Dispatcher - Asset-Based Trucking Company

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dispatcher to join our growing asset-based trucking company. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating freight, communicating with drivers, and ensuring loads are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and coordinate company drivers and equipment for daily freight operations Communicate consistently with drivers regarding pickup and delivery schedules, route updates, and customer requirements Monitor load progress and proactively resolve issues that may arise during transit Work closely with customers, brokers, and internal team members to ensure excellent service Coordinate appointments, routing, and scheduling to maximize efficiency and profitability Build strong working relationships with drivers through professionalism, communication, and support Assist with load planning and equipment utilization for flatbed and step deck freight Troubleshoot problems quickly and think creatively to keep freight moving efficiently Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and customer requirements Maintain accurate records, load updates, and operational documentation Qualifications Previous dispatching or trucking logistics experience preferred Strong knowledge of the flatbed and step deck trucking industry Understanding of trucking operations, routing, scheduling, and logistics coordination Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think outside the box Team-oriented attitude with the ability to lead and support drivers when needed Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive What We Offer Competitive compensation Full benefits package Opportunity for growth within a growing company Supportive team environment Fast-paced and rewarding work environment If you enjoy logistics, problem solving, and working closely with drivers and customers to keep freight moving, we would love to hear from you.
