Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 10 weeks. Weekly pay: $482-$517 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Day and Evening with rotating start times; typical scheduling includes 5x8s (06:00–20:30) or 4x10s, with schedule rotation. Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures and assist surgeons and anesthesia team
- Maintain aseptic technique and uphold patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
- Coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to support procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, including appropriate anatomical positioning, and participate in pre/intra/post procedure care planning
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials and documents pertinent information in the unit’s systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of hospital environment of care principles and applicable safety and life safety policies

Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS required or preferred per policy (ACLS required; PALS preferred/required per policy); CNOR preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent operating room experience; orthopedic, neuro, and trauma experience highly valued
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced OR setting; proficient in circulating nursing duties and anesthesia support as part of the perioperative team
