Top Requirements:

• 2-5 years Java development
• Spring/Spring Boot – webservices, restful API’s – CRUD/Swagger. Spring cloud a plus
• AWS – lambdas, dynamoDB, EC2, ECS, kinesis -> focus kinesis/lamba’s, how they handle multiple lambda’s and how kinesis streams deliver content

Areas Of Focus:

• Candidates have fallen short were too focused on the Devops side, where the team needs them to be more Application Development focused.
• AWS – lambdas, dynamoDB, EC2, ECS, kinesis -> focus kinesis/lamba’s, how they handle multiple lambda’s and how kinesis streams deliver content
• Questions to ask- What have they done with Java and Lambdas?
• Azure experience is ok, but they have to have a deep understanding of Spring.
• Spring Boot – webservices, restful API’s – CRUD/Swagger.
• What is the life cycle of a bean?
• What is the difference between Spring boot and Spring Cloud?
• What does Spring Cloud offer?
• Java Experience – Question to ask- What does “Keyword Protected” mean?
• Any experience with Node is a plus.
• Communication is a MUST, they have to be able to communicate clearly.
