Enrollment Counselor

The Enrollment Counselor serves as the primary point of contact for prospective ODUGlobal students from warm handoff through class start. Using a consultative sales framework, the Counselor helps prospective students explore their educational and professional goals, determine ODU’s fit, and progress through the enrollment funnel. By providing proactive, personalized guidance, Enrollment Counselors drive key performance outcomes—converting inquiries to applicants, admits to confirmations, and confirmations to class starts—while ensuring each student receives responsive and supportive service. The Enrollment Counselors collaborates with admissions, financial aid, the registrar, and academic departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience and a successful transition to academic advising.

• Some knowledge and understanding of consultative coaching principles, including active listening and goal clarification.
• Some knowledge and understanding of the importance of privacy and accuracy when handling student information.
• Strong customer service and consultative skill providing timely and accurate information to others.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills for clear and effective information delivery.
