This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in meat production. Responsibilities Assist in the humane handling and processing of livestock on the slaughter floor. Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with USDA regulations. Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools used during processing. Monitor and report any issues related to animal welfare and processing efficiency. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of slaughtering techniques. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality output. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the packaging and labeling of finished products for distribution. Requirements Previous experience in a meat processing or slaughterhouse environment is preferred, but willing to train Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced setting. Knowledge of animal handling and slaughtering techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours Must be at least 18 years of age Basic understanding of food safety regulations is advantageous. Bilingual - Spanish and English is a plus.
