Blachly-Lane Electric Cooperative is hiring an Accountant to support payroll, work orders, inventory accounting, miscellaneous receivables, fleet records, and bank reconciliations. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records that keep our Cooperative running smoothly for the members we serve. What You’ll Do Prepare and issue payroll, reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, and maintain the payroll Masterfile. Perform monthly work order closing and capitalization, and schedule inventory cycle counts. Create accounts receivable invoices and maintain fleet records, including quarterly fuel tax filings. Complete monthly bank reconciliations and assist with budget and audit material preparation. *This is an in-office role in Eugene, OR. Essential Skills & Knowledge for this Role Accounting degree or professional experience required; Prior utility industry experience, knowledge of the FERC Uniform System of Accounts, or NISC iVue Financials experience is preferred. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Office 365 and other standard business software. Excellent documentation and math skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
